I have this message on event log every day.
I did a search for this event and a meaningfull but the
explaination is not clear. Does anyone can explain if this
is an access to my computer from external source?
this is the event log
Event Type: Information
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7036
Date: 12/24/2003
Time: 7:28:28 AM
User: N/A
Computer: AGONCALVES
Description:
The Background Intelligent Transfer Service service
entered the running state.

BITS is used by the Automatic Update service of Windows XP Pro and Windows
2000 SP3 to transfer files from windowsupdate.com using spare bandwidth.
It's set to manual and started by the AU service I believe.
